Conseil des Vins de Graves
Few people realise that the Graves region is actually the ancient birthplace of the first Bordeaux vineyards.
Lying on the Left Bank of the Garonne River, the region stretches 45 kilometres, from Bordeaux in the North, to Langon in the South. The Graves region represents a surface area of nearly 5000 ha of vines, split between red (80%) and white (20%) varieties, planted on a series of magnificent outcrops of gravel stretching the length of the Garonne river
The Conseil des Vins de Graves was created in 1992 to combine the promotional activities of the Graves and Pessac-Léognan appellations, in France and abroad. Check our blog for details of our trips to the USA and China in 2015.
