Chateau de Sours
Chateau de Sours has been credited with kick-started the recent rosé revolution in the UK. Unlike many producers who produce rosé as a means of concentrating their red wines, rosé is serious business at Chateau de Sours. 40 hectares (half of their total holding) are dedicated exclusively to the production of this benchmark cuvée that has been referred to as “Britain’s favourite rosé” and “Probably the best rosé in the world” !
But Chateau de Sours is far from a one trick pony – their Chateau de Sours red and white wines are proving extremely popular around the world, as are their range of La Source wines which are delicately fermented and aged in oak, yes, even the rosé.
Chateau de Sours is also one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited, but unlike some of the more austere chateaux, you’ll want to lock the door and stay there forever, glass of rosé in hand, soaking up the early evening sun on the terrace …
